Dame Marie: A Town of Beauty and Resilience
Dame Marie is a beautiful coastal town nestled in the southwest of Haiti, known for its lush landscapes, rich culture, and hardworking people. Despite its natural beauty, the community faces serious challenges, including limited infrastructure, vulnerable housing, and the growing threat of rising sea levels. Yet, the spirit of Dame Marie remains strong rooted in resilience, tradition, and a deep sense of community.

The Problem We Face
Dame Marie is on the front lines of a growing crisis. The sea continues to rise and crash against our coastal town, eroding the land and tearing through protective walls that once kept families and homes safe. What was once a peaceful shoreline is now a daily threat to the lives and livelihoods of our people. Without urgent help, more homes will fall, more families will be displaced, and more of our community’s heart will be lost to the ocean.
